Frequently Asked Questions

1Do I need prior German knowledge to join A1?

No. The A1 course is designed for absolute beginners — no prior knowledge required.

2What certificate will I receive after B1?

You receive a Speak Global Academy completion certificate. You will also be fully prepared to sit internationally recognised exams: Goethe-Institut B1, ÖSD B1, or TELC B1.

3Can I take classes online?

Yes. We offer both in-person sessions at our Kurunegala centre and live online classes via Zoom — so you can learn from anywhere in Sri Lanka.

4How long until I reach B1?

On our standard track (A1 → A2 → B1) you will reach B1 in approximately 12 months, studying 2–3 sessions per week.

5Can I join A2 or B1 directly?

Yes, if you already have a foundation. We conduct a short free placement test to ensure you join the right level.
